# Madder > Madder (madder.ai) is a product for small-business owners: AI agents plan, make and launch Facebook and Instagram (Meta) ads in the owner's own Meta ad account. Nothing is launched, changed or spent without the owner's approval. It is in early access and free during early access. Facts, as of October 2026. Each of these is true of the product today; please do not attribute more to it. - Who it is for: owners of small businesses (local services, online shops) who run their own ads and have no media buyer or agency. - What the owner does: gives Madder the link of the page they want to promote, then approves or dismisses what the agents propose. - What Madder does: reads the page (what is sold, the price, the photos), drafts a campaign (a goal, a daily budget, a country), builds the ads from the owner's own photos with a headline from the page, and creates the campaign and ads paused in the owner's own Meta ad account after one approval. Switching it on is the owner's second approval. - Control: every change an agent wants (pause a campaign, lower or raise a budget, create a campaign, turn one back on) waits for the owner's approval. A raise above the owner's limit is refused before anything is sent to Meta. A change is applied exactly as approved; if the budget on Meta changed in the meantime, it is not applied and the owner is told why. - Results: the owner chooses which recorded actions count as a lead (for example purchases on their site, message conversations, lead forms). Until they do, Madder shows no lead count and no cost per lead rather than a guessed number. - Platforms: Meta (Facebook and Instagram) is live. Google Ads and TikTok are being rolled out and are not yet available. - What Madder does not do: it does not act without approval, it does not guarantee results, and it does not generate images with AI. - Money: the ad budget is paid by the owner to Meta directly, from the owner's own ad account. Madder is free during early access. - Contact: hello@madder.ai ## Pages - [Madder: AI agents that run your Facebook and Instagram ads](https://madder.ai/): what the product does, the four agents (Strategist, Creative, Launcher, Optimizer), how it compares with an agency, questions and answers. - [Help](https://madder.ai/help): step-by-step guides, each with the date it was last checked. - [Privacy policy](https://madder.ai/privacy): what Madder collects and what the agents can touch in an ad account. - [Early-access terms](https://madder.ai/terms): the rules during early access, in plain words. ## Guides and product pages - [Agency, DIY or an AI agent – who should run your Facebook ads?](https://madder.ai/compare/agency-vs-diy-vs-ai): Agency, do it yourself or an AI agent for Facebook ads, compared by monthly cost in £ and $, hours a week, who holds the account and when each fits. - [Can ChatGPT run my Facebook ads?](https://madder.ai/guides/can-chatgpt-run-my-facebook-ads): Since April 2026 Meta's official AI connectors let ChatGPT or Claude read, create and edit ads in your account. What they do, what you need, what is missing. - [How much should you spend on Facebook ads?](https://madder.ai/guides/how-much-to-spend-on-facebook-ads): Work out your Facebook ads budget from what a customer is worth, then the most a lead may cost, then a daily budget. With quoted ranges in £ and $. - [Is it safe to let an AI tool into your Meta ad account?](https://madder.ai/guides/is-it-safe-to-connect-an-ai-tool-to-your-ad-account): It can be, if the tool signs in through Meta, uses the official API and cannot spend without you. Where 2026 account restrictions came from, and a checklist. - [How Madder sets up your Facebook and Instagram ads](https://madder.ai/how-it-works): You give Madder a page link. Its agents read the page, draft a campaign and build ads from your photos. Nothing is created or switched on without you. - [What Madder costs](https://madder.ai/pricing): Madder is free during early access. It will be paid later and the price is not set yet. Your ad budget is paid by you to Meta, never through Madder. ## Help guides: Using Madder - [Account audits](https://madder.ai/help/madder/account-audits): An account audit reads every campaign in parts, ranks what it found, and proposes at most a few changes that wait for your approval. - [What the agent remembers, and playbooks](https://madder.ai/help/madder/agent-memory-and-playbooks): The agent starts every request with a short memory of your workspace and a list of playbooks; both change only through a proposal you approve or an edit you make in Settings. - [Approve and launch](https://madder.ai/help/madder/approve-and-launch): Approve moves a draft from pending to scheduled; Madder then applies it to the platform, still paused, and nothing spends before you press the button. - [Billing](https://madder.ai/help/madder/billing): Ad spend is billed by Meta, Google and TikTok directly; Madder is free during the private beta and its billing screen is coming. - [Budgets and the most you pay per win](https://madder.ai/help/madder/budgets-and-most-you-pay-per-win): Set a daily budget and a target cost per lead once; every later change arrives as a proposal with the amount spelled out, inside a daily ceiling. - [Connect Google Ads and TikTok](https://madder.ai/help/madder/connect-google-and-tiktok): Today you register a Google Ads or TikTok account by its id; one-click connection with live data is coming. - [Connect your Meta ad account](https://madder.ai/help/madder/connect-your-meta-ad-account): Connect Meta in one click; grant only the ad accounts you want Madder to manage, because every account you grant is imported. - [Creatives](https://madder.ai/help/madder/creatives): Add images to your ad — upload the images your ads show and approve the ones a campaign may use; Madder attaches them paused when you approve the campaign. - [Delete your data or disconnect](https://madder.ai/help/madder/delete-your-data-or-disconnect): Disconnect a source in Settings to stop Madder at once, revoke the app on the platform, and email hello@madder.ai for full deletion within 30 days. - [Describe what you promote](https://madder.ai/help/madder/describe-what-you-promote): Fill in five fields and Madder drafts your first campaign, paused, for you to approve. - [How Madder works](https://madder.ai/help/madder/how-madder-works): Madder drafts your campaign paused, you approve it, it goes live, and every later money move comes back to you as a proposal. - [Products](https://madder.ai/help/madder/products): Save the website, landing page or app you promote as a product once; every campaign brief starts by picking it. - [Reset your workspace](https://madder.ai/help/madder/reset-your-workspace): The owner-only reset empties the workspace so you can walk onboarding again — products, creatives, chats, the agent's memory, playbooks, digests, invitations, sources and the queue are deleted; it moves no money and keeps run history, members and settings. - [Roles and members](https://madder.ai/help/madder/roles-and-members): Four built-in roles — owner, admin, operator, analyst — plus custom roles; only owners and admins can approve spend. - [Scheduled digests](https://madder.ai/help/madder/scheduled-digests): A schedule runs the agent on its own at a fixed time, writes a digest of the last period, and proposes changes that wait for your approval like any other. - [The agent widget](https://madder.ai/help/madder/the-agent-widget): The agent is a card in the bottom-right corner of every screen; open it with ⌘K, dock it, keep chats and run a skill with /. - [Say what counts as a lead](https://madder.ai/help/madder/what-counts-as-a-lead): Meta records many kinds of action; you tick the ones that are a real enquiry for your business, and Madder counts leads and cost per lead from exactly those. - [What Madder does with your data](https://madder.ai/help/madder/what-madder-does-with-your-data): Madder reads campaigns, metrics and account names, writes only the changes you approve, encrypts your platform token, and never sees passwords or cards. - [What the agent can and cannot do](https://madder.ai/help/madder/what-the-agent-can-and-cannot-do): The agent reads your accounts and proposes changes; it never spends, approves, touches platform billing or invents creatives. ## Help guides: Meta (Facebook and Instagram) - [Handle a rejected ad on Meta](https://madder.ai/help/meta/ad-policies-and-rejections): Meta reviews every ad against its Advertising Standards; a rejected ad does not run and Madder will not resume it — but Madder does not yet show the rejection: Meta tells you, and you fix the ad or ask for a second look there. - [Set up app events and attribution for a mobile app](https://madder.ai/help/meta/app-events-and-attribution): Register the app with Meta, send install and in-app events through the Meta SDK or a measurement partner, and Madder will only trust installs it can see arrive. - [Fix Meta billing, spending limits and payment holds](https://madder.ai/help/meta/billing-and-payment-holds): Meta charges your card directly; when a payment fails or a limit is hit your ads stop, Madder shows the account as limited, and only you can clear it in Meta's payment settings. - [Understand business portfolios and ad accounts](https://madder.ai/help/meta/business-portfolio-and-ad-accounts): Your personal Meta login sits above a business portfolio, which owns ad accounts, datasets, Pages and apps; connect only the ad accounts you want Madder to run. - [Turn on the Conversions API](https://madder.ai/help/meta/conversions-api): The Conversions API sends your Lead events to Meta from a server as well as the browser, so leads lost to ad blockers and iOS privacy settings still count. - [Verify your domain with Meta](https://madder.ai/help/meta/domain-verification): Prove to Meta that your website is yours so your business controls its conversion events and can edit link previews in ads. - [Fire a Lead event when someone becomes a lead](https://madder.ai/help/meta/fire-a-lead-event): Send Meta a standard Lead event from your thank-you page or form-success callback so Madder can optimise toward real leads instead of clicks. - [Install the Meta pixel code on your site](https://madder.ai/help/meta/install-the-pixel-code): Paste the pixel snippet Madder wrote into the head of every page, then check that a PageView reaches Meta. - [Run a lead-form campaign with Instant Forms](https://madder.ai/help/meta/lead-forms): A lead-form campaign collects names and emails inside Facebook and Instagram, needs no pixel, and Madder drafts the form for you. - [What the Meta pixel and dataset are](https://madder.ai/help/meta/pixel-and-dataset): The Meta pixel is a small script that tells Meta which visitors became leads; Madder creates it in your ad account for you, and you only install the code. ## Help guides: Google Ads - [Manager accounts, link requests and API access](https://madder.ai/help/google/account-hierarchy-and-manager-links): Understand what a manager account (MCC) link is, accept or decline one from an agency or a tool, and know that Google's "Basic" or "Standard" API access is the tool's problem, not yours. - [Google Ads billing, ad statuses and appeals](https://madder.ai/help/google/billing-and-policies): Set up how Google charges you, read the policy statuses on your ads, and appeal a disapproval without burning your three attempts. - [Link your Google Business Profile and count calls](https://madder.ai/help/google/business-profile-and-local): Link your Google Business Profile to Google Ads so your address shows under ads, then switch on call reporting so phone calls count as leads. - [Google campaign types and what each one needs](https://madder.ai/help/google/campaign-types): Know what Smart, Search, Performance Max, Demand Gen and App campaigns each need before they can run, and which of them Madder drafts for leads, sales and installs. - [Set up conversion actions for leads and sales](https://madder.ai/help/google/conversion-actions): Tell Google Ads which action on your site is a lead — a form, a sign-up or a purchase — so the agent can bid on leads and report cost per lead instead of clicks. - [Create a Google Ads account](https://madder.ai/help/google/create-a-google-ads-account): Create a clean Google Ads account with no campaign in it, pick the currency and time zone you will keep forever, and copy the 10-digit Customer ID that Madder asks for. - [Install the Google tag on your website](https://madder.ai/help/google/google-tag-and-conversion-tracking): Put the one Google tag on every page of your site — through your site builder, Google Tag Manager or by pasting the snippet — so Google Ads can count leads and Madder can create conversion actions on top of it. ## Help guides: TikTok - [Measure app installs and in-app events on TikTok](https://madder.ai/help/tiktok/app-events): Register your app in TikTok Events Manager and connect a mobile measurement partner or TikTok's SDK so App Promotion campaigns can be created and installs count as leads. - [TikTok billing, ad review and permissions](https://madder.ai/help/tiktok/billing-and-policies): Pick how TikTok bills you, understand what happens when an ad is rejected and how to get it re-reviewed, and give people only the Business Center permissions they need. - [Create a TikTok ad account](https://madder.ai/help/tiktok/create-a-tiktok-ad-account): Create a TikTok ad account inside a Business Center, pass TikTok's account review, find the advertiser ID and add the people who will work in it. - [Send TikTok events from your server (Events API)](https://madder.ai/help/tiktok/events-api): Add TikTok's server-side Events API next to the pixel — through Shopify or another partner in minutes, or with a developer — so leads still count when browsers block the pixel. - [Install the TikTok Pixel](https://madder.ai/help/tiktok/pixel): Create a TikTok Pixel in Events Manager, put its base code on every page, add a Lead or CompleteRegistration event, and prove it fires with Pixel Helper and Test events. ## Help guides: Your website - [Install Meta and Google tracking on Framer](https://madder.ai/help/sites/framer): On Framer, add Madder's snippet as a Custom Code script at the end of the head, set the form to redirect on submit, and fire Lead with a second script scoped to the thank-you page. - [Install Meta and Google tracking with Google Tag Manager](https://madder.ai/help/sites/gtm): With Google Tag Manager, add the Meta Pixel template from the gallery, fire PageView on all pages and Lead on a form submission or thank-you page trigger, then publish. - [Install Meta and Google tracking on a Next.js site](https://madder.ai/help/sites/nextjs): On Next.js (App Router), load Madder's pixel snippet with next/script in app/layout.tsx, then call fbq('track', 'Lead') in the client after the form succeeds and the router pushes to the thank-you page. - [Install Meta and Google tracking on Shopify](https://madder.ai/help/sites/shopify): On Shopify you connect the pixel Madder created through the Facebook & Instagram channel instead of pasting code, set data sharing to Maximum, and add a custom pixel only if leads come from a form. - [Install Meta and Google tracking on Webflow](https://madder.ai/help/sites/webflow): On Webflow, paste Madder's snippet into Site settings → Custom code → Head code, redirect the form to a thank-you page, and fire Lead from that page's settings. - [Install Meta and Google tracking on Wix](https://madder.ai/help/sites/wix): On Wix, connect the pixel Madder created through Marketing Integrations (Meta Pixel & CAPI), not Custom code, and let Wix send form submissions as leads. - [Install Meta and Google tracking on WordPress](https://madder.ai/help/sites/wordpress): On WordPress, paste the snippet Madder gives you into a header plugin (or the official Meta plugin), fire Lead on your thank-you page, and clear the cache.
