Early-access terms
The rules for using Madder while it is in early access, in plain words. Questions? Write to hello@madder.ai.

The short version
- Madder is free while in early access. You see any price before you pay a cent.
- Your ads run in your own ad account and are billed to your own card. Madder never holds your card.
- Nothing launches and your daily budget never goes up without your tap.
- The ad platforms’ own rules apply to every ad.
- We can’t promise leads or sales. Nobody honest can.
- You can stop any day.
What these terms cover
These terms are the agreement between you and Madder, the operator of madder.ai, for early access to Madder: this website, the app and its AI agents. Madder is run by its founder as an individual; there is no company behind it yet. By asking for early access or using Madder, you agree to them.
Early access is open to businesses in the United States for now. Madder is for businesses. You must be at least 18 and allowed to act for the business whose ads you run with it. How we handle your data is in the privacy policy.
Free during early access
Early access costs nothing. Later, Madder will be a monthly subscription, never a share of your ad spend. Before anything costs money, we tell you the price and you decide. Nothing turns into a paid plan by itself.
Early access means the product is still being built. Features may change, pause or go away, and there may be bugs. We tell you about changes that affect your ads.
Your ad account and your card
Your ads run in your own ad account, which you own, which you open yourself on the platform (the agents can’t open one for you yet): Meta today, Google and TikTok when they launch (the same rules apply to them then). The platform bills your card for the ads; that charge is between you and the platform. Madder never sees, holds or charges your card.
You keep your account, your Page and your ads. If you stop using Madder, they stay yours.
You approve every spend
- Nothing launches until you approve it in Madder. New campaigns are created paused; your tap switches them on.
- Your daily budget never goes up without your tap.
- Today every change, including a pause or a budget move, waits for your tap. Pausing an expensive ad and moving money between campaigns inside your approved budget is being built; we will update these terms before it starts.
- The platforms spend to your budget as an average. Meta, for example, may spend up to 75% more on a busy day but not more than seven times your daily budget in a week. That is the platform’s rule, not ours.
Read what the agents prepare before you approve it. Once you approve, you are responsible for that ad and that spend.
Platform rules apply
Every ad must follow the terms and advertising policies of the platform it runs on, as well as the law. The agents write ads with the platforms’ ad rules in mind, but the platform reviews every ad and has the last word: it can reject ads, limit them or disable accounts. We can’t reverse those decisions; any appeal is yours to send from the platform.
Your content and your ads
Your site, photos, reviews and ads remain yours. You let Madder use them only to make and run your ads and to show you results. You confirm you have the right to use what you give us, including photos and customer quotes, and that what your ads say about your business is true.
The agents can be wrong
The agents are AI. Their plans, ad text and claims can be wrong, out of date or not right for your business. Read the text and the claims in an ad before you approve it, and fix what isn’t true.
Today nothing changes in your ad account without your tap. If the agents start to pause ads or move money inside a budget you approved on their own, we will update these terms first, and you will see each change in Madder and can undo it.
No promise of results
We work to get you leads at a fair cost: ads built from what you sell, checked every day, inside the budget you set. But we can’t promise any number of leads, sales, or a cost per lead. Ad results depend on your offer, your market and the platforms.
Fair use
Don’t use Madder to advertise anything illegal or deceptive, to run ads for a business you’re not allowed to act for, to break into or overload our systems, or to copy Madder. We may suspend access that does.
What stays ours
Madder’s software, its agents and this site belong to Madder. During early access you may use them for your business; that is all these terms give you. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them to improve Madder, and we owe you nothing for them.
Stopping
You can stop any day, with no contract and no fee: say “pause it” in the chat, press Disconnect, or remove Madder in your ad platform’s settings. Ads already running keep running on the platform until you pause them there. To delete your Madder account and data, email hello@madder.ai.
We may end early access for everyone or for you. Unless it’s for abuse or a legal reason, we tell you at least 14 days before, so you have time to take over your ads.
Limits on our liability
In plain words:
- Madder is provided as it is during early access, without promises beyond the ones written on this page.
- We are not responsible for what an ad platform does: rejected ads, disabled accounts, outages, or its own billing.
- We are not responsible for indirect losses, such as lost profits or lost business, or for ad spend you approved.
- If we are responsible for a loss, the most we owe is the larger of what you paid Madder in the 12 months before, or $100. During free early access, that means $100.
Some laws don’t allow these limits. Where they don’t, the limits apply only as far as the law allows, and nothing here takes away rights you have as a consumer.
Which law applies
Early access is free, and these terms don’t pick a governing law or a court: the usual rules of the place where a dispute is heard decide that. If something goes wrong, write to us first; most problems are fixed by email. Whatever this page says, you keep the protections that the law where you live gives you. When a company is formed and paid plans start, we will name the governing law here and tell you before it applies.
These terms and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between us about early access. If a court finds part of them invalid, the rest still applies.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Madder grows. We change the date at the top, and for a change that matters, such as the start of paid plans, we email you before it takes effect. If you don’t agree, you can stop using Madder.
