Five minutes. This page is also Madder's data-deletion instructions for Meta and TikTok.
Before you start#
- To disconnect a source you need Connect & disconnect sources: owner or admin.
- To request full deletion you must write from the email on your Madder login.
1. Disconnect in Madder#
Settings → Sources → the account's menu → Disconnect → confirm Disconnect. Madder stops reading and acting on that account immediately. Open proposals for it can no longer be applied. Historical data already pulled is kept so your reports still make sense; you can reconnect later without re-entering anything.

2. Revoke Madder on the platform#
Disconnecting stops every read and write at once; Madder's stored copy of the token is retired and is deleted with the rest of your data on request (step 3). To close the platform side too:
- Meta — open Facebook, press your profile picture, then Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites, find Madder and press Remove. As of September 2026, an app granted business permissions may instead be listed under Business Integrations in the same settings area; remove it there.
- Google — open your Google Account's linked apps page (
myaccount.google.com/linkedapps), select the Access to your Google Account filter, choose Madder, press See details, then Remove access. - TikTok — in TikTok Ads Manager, remove Madder under the account's authorised apps. As of September 2026 TikTok one-click connection is not yet live, so there is nothing to revoke unless you connected one.
3. Ask for full deletion#
Email hello@madder.ai with the subject "Delete my data" from the email on your Madder login. Say whether you want one ad account's data removed or the whole workspace. Madder:
- confirms the request within 5 business days;
- deletes the tokens, ad-account rows, campaign facts, metrics and run history for the scope you named;
- deletes your login and membership if you asked for the whole workspace;
- confirms by email when done, within 30 days of the request.
Proposal and approval records tied to money movements may be kept in anonymised form where the law requires an audit trail.
What is deleted when#

If it doesn't work#
- The Disconnect option is missing — your role lacks Connect & disconnect sources.
- Madder is not listed on the platform — it was already removed or the token expired; nothing further is needed there.
- No reply within 5 business days — write again with "Delete my data — second request"; include your workspace name.
