Scheduled digests

A schedule runs the agent on its own at a fixed time, writes a digest of the last period, and proposes changes that wait for your approval like any other.

Checked 6 Sep 2026

Before you start#

  • A connected ad account with at least one day of synced metrics; a digest over no data says so and proposes nothing.
  • The Manage agent capability to add or change schedules (owners and admins). See Roles and members.

1. Add a digest — a daily summary of your ads, automatically#

  1. Open Settings › Agent › Schedules and choose Add a daily digest.
  2. Pick the cadence: Daily at a time, Weekly on a day, or Monthly on a date. Times are in the workspace's timezone (the one your reports use).
  3. Pick one ad account, or leave it on the whole workspace.
  4. Add digest. The next run time appears on the row, in your local time.

A workspace can hold up to ten enabled schedules, and no schedule runs more often than once an hour.

2. What a digest run does#

At the scheduled time Madder queues an agent run with a brief that follows the cadence: summarise the last day, week or month of spend, leads and cost per lead, name the three biggest changes, and flag anything that needs attention. You can replace that brief with your own when you add the digest. The run goes through the same checks as a request you type: the same limits, the same rule that every change is a proposal in Needs your call. Read the result under Settings › Agent › Schedules: the row's Last digest opens the text.

A scheduled run counts against the workspace's agent budget, and schedules never take the last fifth of it: when four fifths of the day's or the hour's asks are used, the slot is skipped and the schedule runs again at the next one. The rest stays for what you type.

3. Missed slots and failures#

  • Madder was down over a slot — the schedule runs once when it is back, not once per missed slot.
  • Three runs in a row fail — the schedule pauses itself at its next slot and the row shows Paused. Fix what failed (usually a disconnected account), then switch the schedule back on.

4. Change or remove a schedule#

On the row: switch it off to keep it without running, or Delete it. To change the cadence, delete the schedule and add a new one. Deleting a schedule does not delete the digests it already wrote.

If it doesn't work#

  • A slot passed with no digest — four fifths of the agent budget were used before the slot, or the account had no synced data. See Budgets and the most you pay per win for the ceiling.
  • The digest is empty or says there is no data — metrics for the account have not synced yet. Check the account under Settings › Sources.
  • "At most 10 enabled schedules" — that is the cap per workspace. Switch one off first.
  • The time is off by hours — the cadence follows the workspace's timezone, and the row shows the next run in your local time; the two differ when you travel.
